Last night I started my second Wilton Class, Flowers & Cake Decorating.  We learned how to roll fondant and gum paste to make beautiful flowers.  Courtney these are for you as they are purple and yellow (even though they look blue in the photos, they are LSU purple).  Geaux Tigers.

After dying, kneading and lots of Crisco, we rolled the fondant out.

I made a couple daisies and a pansy.  To make the daisies we used the Wilton flower stamp.  After pressing the fondont with the stamp you set the cutouts in the flower makers to make them mold, and sit upright, not flat.

You then place the daisy petals together to make this:

The pansy was made using a cookie cutter and then some pansy-esque techniques!
